Congratulations, Roger!

I am so happy Roger Federer finally won the French Open tennis tournament today! He is such an excellent, graceful, intelligent and dignified player! A pure pleasure to watch him play and talk.

  1. I'm also fond of Federer, though I haven't watched that last final. I just want to say that Nadal is also worthy of respect for his play and conduct and absolutely deserves the same words you praised Federer. Their mutual respect is also admirable, and their competition is probably the most fabulous spectacle in tennis for the last decade.

Hey, what about the Norvegian Belarusian Euro winner? He's on every ringtone here in Ukraine, every girl under 16 fell in love with him - my Julia has also asked me to download that song for her ;) Needless to say, that every time I hear it on radio or from a cell phone, I think of you - who else is a more perfect Norway-Belarus association to me? ;)

  2. Hi Vlad! Thanks for reading my blog and leaving your comment!

I am sure Nadal is worthy of all the praise in the world. I don't follow tennis much anymore, except sometimes during a big tournament like this. And I haven't watched Nadal play for a long, long time. I am just very happy for Federer!

As for the Eurovision, the song from Norway was ok, but not really something special. I found the Israeli song much better than the rest, but id din't even make the top 15 :( I'll probably blog about it one of these days!

  3. If you've seen the Federer's play on the recent big tournaments, you couldn't pass by his great finals against Nadal, especially on Roland Garros and Wimbledon. This is like USSR-Canada in ice hockey or Celtics-Lakers and Zalgiris-CSKA in basketball - when two equally worthy rivals make their competition an EVENT, when each other's greatness adds to someone's win. Of course, I'm too very happy for Federer, and I always supported him in his matches against Nadal, but I was amazed by the fact that, though Federer is almost perfect in his play, in his stability and his will for victory, Nadal each time shows he is not less perfect, stable and willing than Federer. Thus, despite the regret for Federer each time he lost to Nadal, I always felt a great respect to Nadal and was sure he absolutely deserved his victories.

As for the Israeli song - well, it was so right and plain, but don't you think, it's a bit artificial and not so sincere? "There must be another way" - of course, everyone knows that. But what is that way?

  4. Vlad, I agree with you about Federer and Nadal, but not about Noa and Mira :) I'll write about it in this blog when I have a bit more time! ... And you know, Federer always reminds me of you, because you look a lot like him! :)
